There are many announcements that are going to take place on the ward blog. During Relief Society, we are going to "cut out" the announcements to spare more time for the lesson given that week. So, if you are wondering what new announcements there are for our Relief Society or any up coming event please refer to the blog!
*This Sundays lesson will be taught by Kim Wilson, Teaching from Our Time.*
This last weeks lesson was from the Gospel Principles Manual, chapter 5, the Creation.
During this spring time it is always a great reminder of how loving our Heavenly Father is and how He, our creator is ever mindful of each and everyone one of us!
We need to remember that the world we live in was created just for us. Something we can ponder is how God's creation shows his love for us. The sweet words from a beautiful hymn came to my mind as I prepared this lesson,
When thru the woods and forest glades I wander, And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees, When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze, Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee, How great thou art! How great thou art!
More importantly, a good question that can also be pondered is What are we supposed to learn from the Creation?
The Creation is a magnificent thing!! But what we are supposed to learn is our Great Potential.
Each and everyone of us has a significant meaning in this world! This lesson hit me so strong because there are times when it is easy to not realize what are own great potential is.
We have the potential to become like our Heavenly Father. We were created with love and respect. We were created in the image of our Heavenly Father.
There is no one better that will understand us than our own Creator; Our Heavenly Father. He knows our faults, our weaknesses, and understands what we are going through. Our Heavenly Father has placed people here at certain times and certain places to uplift us and strengthen us. He has also given us powerful instruction manuals-the holy scriptures. Our Heavenly Father knew that our life experiences would not be easy or perfect. But if we rely on the gospel and what he has given us then we can come to learn our own great potential and what we can become. YOU ARE LOVED!
