Happy Thanksgiving! This is a great time to reflect on what we are truly grateful for.
The announcements for this week are:
*There is an Elf Swap coming up! If you have anything that you are planning on taking to the DI, and it is gently used or new (for example; toys, clothes etc..) please drop off your items at the church on Dec. 3 between 4 and 6 pm. The shopping will be from 7-9 pm.
*Our ward Christmas Party is coming up! It is going to be on Dec. 4th. So bring the family to have a great night!!
Our lesson in Relief Society was given by Kim Wilson. I want to thank her for such a great lesson! The spirit that was there was so wonderful and uplifting. Her lesson was on Elder Bednar's talk from the Oct. 2009 General Conference.
"We can become more diligent and concerned at home as we are more faithful in learning, living, and loving the restored gospel of Jesus Christ." Elder Bednar gives us three suggestions to become more diligent and concerned at home.
The first suggestion is: Express love-and SHOW IT! How often do you tell a family member you love them and truly mean it? Elder Bednar states; "Each of us already knows we should tell the people we love that we love them. But what we know is not always reflected in what we do. We may feel unsure, awkward, or even perhaps a bit embarrassed."
The second suggetion is: Bear Testimony-AND LIVE IT! It is always one thing to bear your testimony but how often are we living it? As you go throughout your week, be ever mindful of your testimony and think of ways you can live it. Who may need to hear it? What does your testimony mean to you?
The Third suggestion is: BE CONSISTENT! Sometimes it can become very frustrating when we feel like our efferts are being ignored. Or even not having an impact on our childrens live's. If we are consistent with our family it is the beginning of laying down the foundation of great work in our individual lives. "As we seek the Lord’s help and in His strength, we can gradually reduce the disparity between what we say and what we do, between expressing love and consistently showing it, and between bearing testimony and steadfastly living it. We can become more diligent and concerned at home as we are more faithful in learning, living, and loving the restored gospel of Jesus Christ."

How Glorious Are Faithful, Just, and True Friends!!!
The announcements for this week are:
We are so excited for a adult fireside that is coming up!
It will be on November 22, at 7:00pm.
President Smith along with Nile Smith will be our speakers. It is going to be a great fireside, so please come! If you are worried about finding a babysitter, the young women of our ward are willing to help out!!
Our food storage specialists are working hard to get us all prepared. Please contact Gina Hansen or anyone else who is on the commitee if you have any questions or even suggestions regarding food storage.
Our lesson this week was from the "Teachings of Presidents of the Church." It was chapter 40, "How Glorious Are Faithful, Just and True Friends."
What a great reminder to us that friendship is one of the grand fundamental pinciples of the gospel. Joseph Smith shares a bold vision of friendship's power to unify the church, end contention, and promote unity among people.
In Matthew chapter 9, it reads: "Now it happened, as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples. And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, "Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?" When Jesus heard that, He said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. Bug go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy and not sacrafice.'
We must always remember that friendship requires a kind of reaching out that may not always be self-serving.
Jesus was a perfect example of that! He spent his lifetime reaching out to those who were grieving, hurting, rejoicing, and even hoping.
Each sister can make a difference by recoginzing that each of us can make another sisters burden lighter by sharing our burdens with others. We may not know what each sister may be going through but we should show sensitivity to the struggles that each sister is going through.

Relief Society Announcements
Welcome to the Lehi 10th Ward Blog!
**We want to welcome all the new sisters that just moved into our ward!**
We had a great lesson in Relief Society today! The lesson was from the Joseph Smith handbook, lesson 39. A big thanks to Kelly Brown for giving a great lesson about the Relief Society Organization.
What a great blesssing Relief Society is to each and everyone of us! It is such a comfort to know that we can rely on eachother in times of need.
From the book in lesson 39, "Teachings of the Presidents of the Church," it states;
“If you live up to these principles, how great and glorious will be your reward in the celestial kingdom! If you live up to your privileges, the angels cannot be restrained from being your associates. Females, if they are pure and innocent, can come in the presence of God; for what is more pleasing to God than innocence; you must be innocent, or you cannot come up before God: if we would come before God, we must keep ourselves pure, as He is pure.”
What a great example to follow! We must keep ourselves pure just as our Savior and Redeemer. We as sisters are able to accomplish extraordinary things. All we need to do is follow the teachings of our Heavenly Father.
